Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

SainsIndo Journal of Accounting & Finance (JAFSI) accepts research manuscripts, conceptual articles, literature reviews, and case studies relevant to the fields of accounting, finance, financial management, auditing, taxation, investment, financial technology, and corporate governance.

Submitted manuscripts must be original works, unpublished, and not currently under review in other journals.

Manuscripts should be written in English or Indonesian in a clear, systematic, and academic style. The recommended length of the manuscript is 6,000–8,000 words, including references.

Manuscript Structure

The general manuscript structure includes:

  1. Title

  2. Author(s) and affiliation(s)

  3. Abstract

  4. Keywords

  5. Introduction

  6. Literature Review (optional but recommended)

  7. Research Methods

  8. Results and Discussion

  9. Conclusion

  10. References

Abstract and Keywords

Abstracts must be written in English (Indonesian version is encouraged).
The abstract should:

  • Be 150–250 words in length

  • Clearly state the purpose, methodology, main findings, and contribution

  • Be followed by 3–5 keywords representing the main topics of the article

Submission Format

Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (DOC/DOCX) or PDF format through the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

Citation and Referencing Style

JAFSI uses the latest edition of APA (American Psychological Association) style for in-text citations and references.

  • All sources cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list.

  • All references listed must be cited in the manuscript.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a peer-review process to ensure academic quality and relevance.

The editorial team reserves the right to make editorial adjustments without altering the scientific substance of the manuscript.

Authors submitting manuscripts to JAFSI declare that the manuscript is their original work and has not been published elsewhere.

Copyright for the published manuscript remains with the author. By submitting a manuscript, the author grants JAFSI the right to publish, reproduce, and distribute the article in print or electronically.

Articles published in JAFSI are open access and may be freely read, downloaded, and distributed for non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate citations to the author and journal are provided.
